Melissa Bowman Li is Chicago’s renowned Nutrition & Fitness Expert. She is a registered dietitian with a holistic nutrition background, a PhysioSlow™ Certified Trainer, and the co-founder of PhysioLife Studios™. She focuses on teaching and empowering clients to incorporate healthy behaviors, including proper nutrition, PhysioSlow Strength Training and recovery into daily life. With over 10 years of experience, Melissa’s talents lie in helping clients gain a deeper understanding of their bodies while achieving a greater balance in energy levels, eating practices, and overall well-being. Her clientele includes an extensive roster of celebrities, professional and elite athletes, athletic teams, as well as infants, children and adults with a variety of nutritional challenges, including weight management, eating disorders, food allergies/intolerances, pregnancy, lactation and chronic conditions. Working with Melissa, clients will receive practical solutions that bring results and long-term success.
Melissa has a B.S. degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. She is a registered dietitian (RD) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and a licensed dietitian nutritionist (LDN) for the state of Illinois. Melissa also holds a certification as a dietitian for the Early Intervention Program in Illinois (Birth to three). She is a member of the Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN), the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group, and Complementary Care Nutritionists, dietetic practice groups of The American Dietetic Association.
In addition to counseling, Melissa is a dynamic speaker and has been featured on TV and print media, including The TODAY SHOW, ABC 7, and CLTV. Melissa has given numerous presentations on sports nutrition, wellness, childhood nutrition, and general nutrition to professional sports teams, high schools and colleges, professional organizations, corporations and community/church groups.
